Calendar: June 20-21 Order of the Arrow ordeal for selected scouts. June 30-July 6. summer Camp at Tamarak Camp, Jones. Michigan. Great chance to work on merit badges. Camperships are available. Applications will be available soon. Location: Camp Tamarack, in Jones, Michigan. Scouts wear dress uniform for dinner each night. parents are needed for this event. August 3, family camp weekend. White River by Muskegon. August 23 Civil War Muster, Cascades Park, Jackson September 21 - Festival of the Forks canoe trip. Order of the Arrow ordeal alternate weekend. Jan 21, 2003, MLK weekend. Annapolis “Merit Badge day.” Was mentioned in Boy’s Life. Need to earn the money for the trip. 12 hours each way. Recently earned badges were distributed to scouts. A camping trip was planned to prepare for summer camp. Future camping trips requiring transportation and adult participation need 2 week notice. We will be needing a new treasurer soon. Scouts will leave for summer camp Sunday June 30 at 11:00 a.m. from the Lutheran Church. Insurance information is needed for all adult drivers. Public Liability, and property damage information especially. Scouts are required to wear class A uniforms to dinner for summer camp. a scout shirt, a scout neckerchief, any neckerchief slide, pants that resemble official scout pants will be considered full uniform. A class B uniform would be a scout t-shirt and shorts. The scout checking account has $1,393 in funds, with $414 of that the scouts earnings from fundraising. We need more parents for the parent’s meetings. Parents need to be informed. Minutes should be posted online. No parents meetings in July. For the family camp weekend, bring your own food, will probably be buffet style for dinner and breakfast. Canoes are reserved.
