DALRYMPLE SCHOOL KINDERGARTEN CLASS 1962-63

Morning Star, August 13, 2017, pg. 9

With the demolition of Dalrymple School in Albion during the week of July 17, another prominent eyesore is now gone and Albion is better off because of it. For those of us who began our schooling here, we have fond nostalgic memories of years gone by, our classmates, and our teachers during the years when Dalrymple School was filled to capacity. For a history of this school, consult my 1991 book "A History of the Albion Public Schools."

Occasionally one of those class photograph compilations by local photographer Earl Austin will surface. This week for our Historical Notebook we have a real treat, courtesy of Bryan Pollman. It is the Kindergarten class of Mrs. Marie Stellingsworth, 1962-63 school year. These students would later become part of the Albion High School Class of 1975. How many persons do you recognize in this photo? The identifications are as follows (NOTE: Some last names are not known; if you could help with those please e-mail me at Albionfp@hotmail.com):

Front row left to right: Mrs. Marie Stellingsworth, Robert "Bud" Hallahan, Diane Herron, Eusebio Solis, Tina Richardson, Bill Ridley, Terry Bronson, Charles Jones. Center row: Cindy____, Richard Kulikowski, Debbie Pasick, Donald McAdams (his father was principal), Jean_____, Luke Kirk, Debbie Brown, Bryan Pollman.

Top row: Ernest Lee Embry, Kathy Fanning, Anthony Carter, Ronda Gibson, Duane____, Vicky Yates, Bill_____, Jennifer Anglin, Jim_____.
